Welcome to India

Jan. 2, 2010

After twenty hours of flight I landed in what seemed to be the clouds. The air was so foggy on the ground I couldn’t even see the flashing light at the tip of the plane wing. I exited the plane and entered the airport that was playing instrumental Christmas music over the speakers. The sites weren’t much different, but the smell definitely was.

After I got my bags I somehow found my ride in a massive crowd of people. Loud noises and stares overwhelmed my senses. As we walked to the car India came alive. Ever since India’s independence in 1947 the country has never looked backed, especially when driving. I can’t even begin to describe some of the cars, covered in art, much less the driving. Cars and motorcycles swerve and scream passed each other with no hesitation. Any room more then a foot left between two cars is quickly taken advantage of by other drivers.
